Discover How to Garden for Wildlife in Free Online Course

The Canadian Wildlife Federation has a brand-new free online course to help you learn the basics of wildlife-friendly gardening. You’ll discover how to support the local and migratory wildlife around your home, school, business or community space. This beginner level “Gardening for Wildlife” course will run from April 21 to May 19, 2021, with new videos and supporting resources uploaded each week.

The course will cover the basics of wildlife-friendly gardening, discuss topics like invasive plants and feature some of Canada’s backyard wildlife and native plants. It also includes gardening tips from CWF’s Wildlife-friendly Demonstration Garden and visit with a CWF certified property owner to discover why and how she switched her gardening efforts with pollinators and birds in mind.
